LED Strip Lights Installation Steps
Pre-Installation Strip Testing: Temporarily connect the LED strip to the power source (and controller, if used) to verify that all LEDs illuminate correctly. This step helps detect flaws prior to permanent setup.
Apply the Strip: Remove the protective film from the adhesive backing and press the strip firmly onto the prepped surface. For uneven or outdoor areas, utilize extra clips or mounting brackets to enhance stability.
Secure the Connections: When extending the strip or linking it to a power supply, use compatible connectors (soldering is not recommended unless you have prior experience). Make sure connections are secure to avoid loose contacts or short circuits.
Prevent Overlapping: Never overlap parts of the strip—this can trap heat, shorten its service life, or lead to overheating.
